Gwinnett County DOT has been spoken with regarding resurfacing the streets in Ashton Wood subdivision. Here is the email that was received after our discussion. In our discussion he indicated that their inspection of our roads would warrant all our roads to be resurfaced.

It was a pleasure speaking with you about your subdivision streets and thank you for accepting my apologies for not contacting you sooner. Commissioner Holtkamp and Lewis Cooksey, Director of Transportation, had requested that I contact you in April and answer your questions regarding your neighborhood streets and I am sorry that I did not do that then. Thank you for allowing me to explain our pavement evaluation process to you and share that we anticipate resurfacing your subdivision streets in 2025. We typically advertise our resurfacing list of streets for bids in late fall and then the contractor(s) will begin work the following year around March or April. We do not dictate their schedule of work, but we can encourage that certain roads be done due to events or projects that may be impacted by their traffic control and work progress.
